X-PLOSIVE Entertainment is one of Canada's finest metal music PR companies. After having worked in several sectors of the music industry, we have gained the necessary tools to help promote bands to their suitable markets. We understand the need to be recognized in this ever so competitive industry and have based all of our experiences in developing the right contacts to get you there.

The owner, Caroline Restiaux, has been involved in various areas of the business for several years. She was once a student of Trebas Institute in Toronto, Canada studying Audio Engeneering & Recorded Music Production. Having studied at the school over a dozen years ago, she admits that the knowledge gained in school was nothing compared to the trials and errors along the road. She had worked with Fireball Entertainment during the spring of 2005 doing odd jobs for musicians and networking along the way. After a few months with the company she was advised to start up her own business from friends and family who knew her passion and drive for success in the music industry. After having networked with many bands, promoters, recording studios and friends X-PLOSIVE Entertainment kicked off it's first show in 2005 at the El Mocambo in Toronto, Ontario. With the success of the first show she immediately started to work on others. Promoting shows is what helped X-PLOSIVE get the attention of local metal bands in Ontario. With the potential to go just so far as a metal promoter in the city, she set her eyes on other music related projects. Having tried her hand at management with a couple local bands it became quite clear that far too many talented musicians are not getting noticed. How else could she help these bands out? She then decided to put together an annual showcase to help get the bands more attention. The first one quickly got the attention of the media with an article in Canadian Musician along with donations and promotion from several music related companies such as HMV, The End Records, Metal Blade, Nuclear Blast, Relapse Records and many more. The first showcase was a great success with just over 200 people in attendance that night. It is an on going showcase that will keep growing larger each year.

Time had passed and still she felt there was more that she could do for the bands. It was not long after that a friend had told her about a possible DJ position at the University of Toronto's campus radio station. It was without question that she found herself opening that door at full force and to this day is still the host of X-PLOSIVE METAL, one of Toronto's leading weekly metal radio shows. She has interviewed over 100 bands in the first year and a half and has built a website around the radio show itself.  Having been at the radio station she quickly adapted to the broadcasting enviroment and became the Marketing Director for the station. The position was temporary and she later moved on to Loud Director. Having been the Loud Director at the station for just under a year and doing her weekly radio show she has gained the respect of several major record labels, PR Companies, artists and fans alike.

X-PLOSIVE Entertainment's name is out there and it is her mission to help others get their name out there as well !
